Bon Appetit! - September 27th at 6 pm

Come and join us for a pasta night! The Emerging Leaders welcomes all new and prospective members to our first event of the year! At this icebreaker event you will have the opporutnity to hear from our executives and chat with them, all wihle indulging in delicious food. It is a great opportunity to network, meet like minded individuals and to learn something new. It's also a great time to find our ore about ELU and to sign up for membership if you find that ELU is right for you.

Leadership Challenge

ELU's premiere event, the Challenge, is a non-profit, semi-competitive event based on a corporate workshop that showcases the leadership talent of the UBC Student Body. In different groups, participants have to interpret the same challenge given out by the executive team. Groups will be given the same materials and a time limit to complete the challenge. Each challenge is meant to strengthen team-work and ingenuity in the leaders. Once the time limit is reached, everyone has to return to the starting location and each team has to present their interpretation of the challenge. And of course, winners get prizes!

The Leadership Summit

The largest event of the year for ELU, the Leadership Summit invites top guests speakers from a range of professions. From student-leaders to CEOs, guest speakers share what it takes to be a true leader and how they managed to live their lives through leadership. Each year, four guest speakers are invited, as well as several suprises that you will simply have to find out when you are there. Food and drinks will be provided, as will ample time to mingle and network.
